US tax dollars are used to supply the Philippines with arms and military support, which enable the continued violations of human rights. With the May 2022 election of Bong Bong Marcos, such violations are only expected to increase. Given President Biden’s call to congratulate Marcos on his victory, US complicity is also expected to continue. 

We resist by supporting the Philippine Human Rights Act (PHRA), a bill currently in Congress that demands an audit of how US dollars are being used in the Philippines before continuing this support.
